Our factory in Utena, Lithuania has been operating in the same place since 1967. As the largest employer in town, it has maintained a high standard of quality and craftsmanship while preserving local traditions for more than five decades. In many cases, three generations of family artisans work in our factory, handing down the trade secrets from one generation to the next. In fact, the longest-serving employee is a seamstress who has been with the company for more than 50 years!
The ABOUT factory is vertically integrated. All processes are don on-site, under one roof, giving us complete control of every step, from fabric knitting and dyeing to cutting, sewing and labeling. This allows us to closely monitor the quality level at every stage of production.
We follow a seven-step quality control. Every meter of fabric is carefully inspected during production as well as during the dyeing process. Our experienced seamstresses review the quality of each piece of cut material. Each finished garments then goes through a quality filter to make sure it meets the highest standards.
What really sets our factory apart is its unmatched environmental responsibility. In 2017 it made a commitment to Detox, as part of Greenpeace's global Detox My Fashion campaign, and more recently became the first factory in the world to meet Greenpeace's Standard for its own textiles procurement using natural fibres. The factory holds several certificates that recognize our eco-friendly processes. Even our wastewater has made a name for itself, meeting the same stadard as drinking water. Our factory uses green energy, and every step of our production process is carefully planned to remove any environmental impact and promote a healthier, more sustainable planet.
